Common questions.
How much does the SAT program cost?+
The SAT preparation program has a base fee of $350 USD. If you add IELTS preparation, the IELTS exam registration fee is added on top. If you add a Microsoft Microdegree track, the course fee is also added. Contact us for full bundle pricing and current offers.
Do I need any tech experience for the Microsoft Microdegree?+
No experience is required at all. The Microsoft Microdegree program is specifically designed for students starting from zero. By the end of your chosen track, you’ll have the skills and certification to apply for remote work in that field.
Can I take IELTS without doing the SAT?+
Yes. IELTS can be taken as a completely standalone program through CIS. It’s a recognised qualification on its own and opens doors for UK study, immigration applications, and many international programs requiring English proficiency proof.
What is GCTU and why is it a good option?+
Ghana Communication Technology University is Ghana’s leading technology-focused public university. CIS provides direct, easy admission access — bypassing the highly competitive national admissions process. Combined with a Microsoft Microdegree, it’s an excellent local pathway with strong career outcomes.
Who is the MPower loan for?+
The MPower Student Loan is for university graduates admitted to an accredited international institution who cannot fully fund their studies through scholarships or personal means. MPower provides no-collateral loans with repayment starting after graduation, spread over 10–15 years. CIS handles the facilitation.
What’s the difference between GRE and GMAT?+
The GRE is accepted by a broad range of Masters and PhD programs across all disciplines worldwide. The GMAT is specifically required for MBA and business school programs. Our advisors will help you decide which is right for your intended program during your consultation.
Can I combine the SAT with the Microsoft Microdegree?+
Yes — and we recommend it. The SAT + Microsoft Microdegree bundle is one of our most popular combinations. You prepare for international study while building remote-work skills in parallel. Many students start earning from their Microdegree before receiving their scholarship decisions.
